Petmedic appears to be an independent veterinary practice (no corporate group is mentioned in the information provided). Reviews most often describe routine preventative care (such as booster vaccinations) alongside urgent same-day help and end-of-life support.
Concrete examples owners mention include being seen immediately without an appointment after a dog bite, booster jabs at a “really reasonable” price (no figure given), and follow-up gestures after euthanasia (a sympathy card). Reviews also show a clear conflict: one long, detailed account describes months of unsuccessful treatment for a suspected fungal skin problem and being advised euthanasia (including mention of possible skin cancer), while another vet reportedly resolved the issue with shampoo and antibiotics—while many other reviewers describe the team as supportive and not pressuring owners around difficult decisions.

We brought our dog to have his booster jab and the staff were really friendly and the price was really reasonable. Sam and the team are really welcoming and the dog wanted to say hello to all of them and they always have time to return the favour. GREAT VETS

Can't praise Gillian & staff enough. I used to see her when she worked at another surgery. I couldn't believe my luck when I found out she was in Adwick. Excellent service. My girl is 16 & 3 months. She was having many seizures....she isn't now. 😁 Just to update. Izzy got to 18 thanks to the excellent care I had from this vets. I've now got a Springer & they went out of their way to help when she had an urgent issue lately.

My dogs were with them for many years and luckily never really had to attend much as they were always in good health. Over Christmas one of my dogs contracted a fungal unfection that very quickly went up from his feet to his legs to his underside and chest. He was inflamed...sore and lost a lot of fur. They spent 4 months treating him with various tablets and liquids and I was told on 2 occasions that there was nothing more they could do for him as he didn't seem to respond to anything and that he should be put to sleep. In the final visit in April they also told me they thought he had skin cancer and that he would continue to deteriorate and the kindest thing to do would be to put him to sleep there and then. I refused. I said that if that was what was needed it would be done at home. I was told he would deteriorate not being on any meds. And it was left there. 5 weeks later I finally booked a company to come out and do this and it was due on the Thursday. On the monday before I contacted another vet and explained the situation and they booked me in for.the next day. During the consultation i again ecplained to the vet this time what the situation was and that if he told me the same then that was fair enough but i just wanted a second opinion. The vet then looked him over and his response was that he didn't see the need to put him to sleep just for a fungal infection.. he then prescribed him some special shampoo.and some antibiotics and sent me on my way. After one consultation and the shampoo he's been recovering ever since. The shampoo has been used for past 2 months...he still has a short way to go and his fur is yet to grow back fully but he is well on his way to full recovery. He has had check up appointments since then to check his progress but all i can say is thank god I didn't take their advice as he wouldn't be with us now!!!! My biggest grievance in all this is the trauma they have put my daughter through in preparing him to be put to sleep. She's was devastated by it...due to this experience I cannot recommend this vets at all. And i wonder how many more pets have been needlessly put to sleep on their advice.

I've used PETmedic for quite a few years now and sadly had a few pets put to sleep there. However, Friday was my beautiful old lady's time just before her 18th birthday. The staff are truly amazing. The vet we have see nearly every time is so compassionate and cares as much about the family as the Paws she is treating. Also, recieved a beautiful sympathy card from the surgery today - truly blessed to be absolutely rely on them!

We have been with Pet Medic for a number of years now and quite frankly we would not take out pets anywhere else. We have lost 4 of our pets in the last year alone and the staff there have been nothing but compassionate and caring. They will always see us at a moments notice when there is an emergency and our pets are always handled and treated with care and respect. The Vets Gillian, Sam & Sylvia are amazing at what they do and we love all the nurses there. Kay and the rest of the team (I’m terrible with names)

I came in with my dog who had just been bitten quite bad, I didn't have an appointment but they saw my dog straight away . I was quite shaken and they reassured me, made me a drink to calm me down and were so caring towards my dog. I'm so thankful for all their help they were lovely, especially Sam she's great with my dog, really caring and put my mind at rest that he was going to be fine . But all lovely and I would recommend them 🙂

After an emergency of the worst kind, knowing what's going to happen but not wanting it to. The staff are supportive caring & most of all there's not a bit of pushing you into making that choice but being gentle and supportive, we had to lose our fur baby to cancer, I must admit now I can look back they made it so much less hard and gave me and my partner all the support we needed and the time to let go also more importantly for us, our baby was with us and didn't suffer. I am glad I got to hold her while she slipped away in to a gentle sleep. She looked just like she did as a kitten. We got to bring her home with us as well Which was important because she can patrol her garden as well as play with all her many friends over that rainbow 🌈 bridge. Thank you all at Petmedic.
