Serenity Vet Services focuses on end-of-life support, including euthanasia carried out at home. Reviews repeatedly describe vets arriving at the booked time, explaining each step before proceeding, and giving families unhurried time with their pet afterwards. Several owners also mention aftercare such as ashes being returned within a few days, and options like an ink paw print on request. One recent review reports a “mixed experience” and advises requesting an established vet rather than a locum, suggesting the experience may vary depending on who attends.

I had to make a very difficult decision over Christmas to have my Labrador put to sleep. I contacted Serenity on the recommendation of a vet we know. I called on the 28th and got an appointment on the 29th for Vicky to come to the house. It was hands down the hardest day of my life. Vicky came at the exact booking time, we had a chat, she met the dog and fussed him, and explained what she would do. Everything was with such kindness, compassion and empathy. Nothing was rushed. It was all very calm and done with dignity. I have had his ashes returned today in a beautiful urn, an ink paw print (we requested) and a beautiful card. This company have provided a fantastic service and I will continue to recommend them to anyone who has to make the hard decision for their furry friends. Thank you so much, you made a very difficult day easier to deal with. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.x

Serenity Vet Services were the most kind and comforting people to go through such a heartbreaking experience with. right from the very start, they were so helpful and communication was amazing, Helen handled my baby with such care and love as if he was her own and didn't pressure us and gave us all the time we needed to be with him after she visited our house to see our 17 year old Maltese. I can't recommend them enough, I'm so grateful for them all and the hard work they do!!

From the first phone call to the day My girls ashes came home forever , serenity were amazing in helping our 15 yr old collie cross rainbow bridge in the comfort of our home surrounded by her loved ones . The process was quick, calm and although very upsetting it was a beautiful send off . The initial call on Friday everything was explained to us and all our questions were answered , putting our mind at rest that she would not suffer during the process. On the Monday the day it was booked for , we received a call to say Vicky was half an hour away . She arrived and introduced herself and ran through the procedure once again , to make sure we knew what to expect , each step was We got to spend an hour with her after the procedure was complete before my partner carried her out of the door for her very last journey . The vehicle was a nice clean comfortable appropiate one with a lovely padded dog bed in the rear boot area and even though we had her wrapped in her own blanket , Vicky provided a lovely thick blanket aswell so she just looked cosy and like she was sleeping . She was transported in a dignified manor to the crematorium and she came home forever where she belongs only 3 days later ( Thursday )

Vicky from serenity vets visited us when we had to sadly say goodbye to our beloved cat Monty. Vicky was totally incredible. So understanding, so professional and caring. Saying goodbye to my boy at home was the ultimate respect I could give him. Peaceful, at home, on his favourite blanket on my knee. I honestly don't know how you do it, but you make such a difference, and you were appreciated more than I could ever put into word. Thank you so much xx

We’ve had mixed experiences. We had a service deserving of 5 stars. Sadly our last experience fell very short of this (1 star). We have shared our concerns directly with Serenity, so no need to put them on here. In summary our advice to you, if you do choose Serenity, is to make sure you ask for Vicki, or another established vet in the Serenity team and seriously consider if you want to go ahead with them if you'll be getting a locum vet.

Vicky the vet was really good she explained everything and even helped us remember the old Jack before old age and illness and validated some of the signs and decisions that had led to euthanasia through conversation not even purposeful. She didn’t let our tears affect her or assume we didn’t understand in our grief. How she does that I will never know I am broken but thankful this service exists it’s the only way for a beloved pet to go. 16 and half years of loving you Jack I wish we could have had forever but you got to go for lovely nap and I’ll see you in heaven.

I contacted Serenity in 2023 as my boy had been diagnosed with CDRM and was starting to hav problems and considered letting him go before he got worse. We changed our mind and Serenity were very understanding. Luckily we had a lovely two further years with Toby that we didn't expect, a few weeks ago Toby's condition worsened and we decided now was the time so I contacted Serenity again. Throughout the whole process they were very supportive and I cannot thank them enough for the support and how quick you were able to get Tobys ashes back to us as soon as possible. We are absolutely broken hearted at losing him however if anyone was in a similar position to us I wouldn't hesitate in recommending serenity, Toby hated the vets so taking him to a practice in his last moments was not even an option for us. thank you for your help and support.

Thank you for such a peaceful ending to our dogs incredible life. Helen, the vet came out to our home, it's really strange as Helen was the very 1st vet we saw with Harley when we 1st brought him home over 12 years ago as she worked for a local vets practice. It was kind of a relief when she walked through the gate and we recognised her. She was brilliant, explained everything every step of the way. She gave us time and it was just so lovely Harley not been stressed. It was a lovely sunny day and he got to relax and pass very peacefully with us by his side in the garden. It made a horrible situation so much more bearable knowing we had his comfort as a priority. Highly recommend and can't thank you enough ❤️

I would just like to thank you all for making the last journey for Charlie calm and comfortable as possible, Charlie was 14 and it was the biggest decision we had to make to pick up the phone but from me making the call to getting his ashes Serenity Vets made the whole process as calm and comfortable for Charlie as possible. When the vet came out she didn't rush us in any way at all she left us with Charlie and said take as much time as you it is a heartbreaking decision we had to make but Charlie his free from pain now thank you once again we would definitely recommend your kind service.
